TJR (real name TJ Rozdilsky) has built a formidable catalogue of original tracks and remixes since exploding on the scene in 2008. Originally a golfer from Connecticut he left his plaid pants and golf clubs behind to become an acid house and techno DJ, before evolving into the innovative producer and DJ that he is today. In 2012 Chris Lake signed him exclusively to Rising Music. He’s twice topped the Beatport charts at the overall number #1 spot, first with ‘Funky Vodka’ in 2012 and then again in 2013 with the massive ‘What’s Up Suckaz.’ Also known for his monstrous hit ‘Ode to Oi’ and his certified Multi-Platinum smash, ‘Don’t Stop The Party’ with PITBULL,
TJR has become the master of the summer anthem, and consistently creates fun-loving, self-aware and surefire dancefloor monsters. “Producing fulfills my creative side, but DJing is my release. I’m almost snapping crossfaders off mixers because I’m so amped up; I just want to get up there and destroy everything. I want people to come away from my sets thinking that TJR brought something that we’re not used to seeing anymore.”
Angerfist is the world’s leading hardcore act, underlined by the fact that he received the prestigious 39th spot in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJ edition of 2011, dropping to 42nd on the following year and rising up again to the 34th place in 2013, being the first hardcore artist ever to hit the chart. Angerfist was founded in 2001, when he dropped his first EP on Overload Records, the former sublabel of Masters of Hardcore Records. After that EP, he has produced an impressive continuous streak of hit records on Masters of Hardcore. Danny Masseling has produced three albums: “Pissin’ Razorbladez’”, “Mutilate” and “Retaliate” were released in 2006, 2008 and 2011. The albums had a huge impact on the scene and the development of hardcore music wise, especially in the last few years: Angerfist is the only artist to have four consecutive #1 hits on the annual MOH Hardcore Top 100 with “The Voice Of Mayhem (vs Outblast & MC Tha Watcher)” in 2010, “Incoming” in 2011, “Catastrophe (vs Outblast & MC Tha Watcher)” in 2012 and the destructive “Street Fighter” slammer in 2013. Next to the Angerfist project, Danny Masseling also produces records under the monikers of Kid Morbid, Bloodcage and Menace II Society. Besides the music, Angerfist is known for the unique live-performances dressed in hooded sweater and wearing the infamous Jason-mask while performing all over the world. Bringin the grimy beats to every continent, Angerfist is selling out virtually every venue. With an unstoppable drive to spread the hardcore virus, he is destined for a long future of destructive beats. Three words to describe Angerfist? Retaliate and devastate!
At 22 years young, Will Sparks has cemented his position as the undisputed KING of the globally loved Melbourne sound. Countless original productions have spent weeks inside the Beatport top 10 in addition to signature remixes of global hits such as Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’ and The Chainsmokers’ ‘Selfie’. In his home country he was voted ‘Breakthrough Artist Of The Year’ only to be named the #1 DJ in Australia just 12 months later. Now expanding his horizons, Will Sparks is spreading like wildfire with recent festival appearances at Tomorrowland and TomorrowWorld as well as the announcement of a 50-date ‘Bounce Bus’ tour of North America and hitting the 250k Facebook fans milestone. Since his genre-defining track, ‘Ah Yeah!’ hit #3 on the Beatport overall charts at the tail end of 2012, Will Sparks has become unstoppable, hit after hit. Producing original tracks like ‘Catch’, ‘When The Lights Go Out’ and ‘This Is What The Bounce Is’ he garnered the attention of global heavyweight dance label Ultra Records. In the past 2 years alone, he has seen more achievements than most artists see in an entire lifetime. In celebration of reaching the quarter-million mark, Will gave out a remix of ‘Maps’ by Maroon Five – a track that gained 500,000 plays in the first week, quickly gaining him support from Tritonal, W+W, R3HAB, Joel Fletcher, DVBBS, Vinai and Dada Life. In the same week – Will was nominated for ‘Best Electronic Act’ for Australia’s prestigious ‘The Age music awards.’ Will Sparks has been named one of Billboard Magazine’s most exciting young talents as well as landing himself a residency at XS Las Vegas, a gig at Jay-Z’s ‘Made In America’ festival, a headlining spot at Paradise Ibiza as well as a set at the world’s biggest Electronic Dance Music festival, Tomorrowland. His SoundCloud page is testament to his phenomenal influence as a producer, racking up millions of plays on a single release alone. With a debut album in the making including collaborations, with some of the biggest names in dance music, this superstar is showing no signs of slowing down any time soon.
Establishing a eclectic, custom club sound by playing largely his own originals and remixes, Grandtheft has slayed clubs worldwide and is respected as one of the best live DJs Canada has to offer. The music he produces is varied beyond categorization, except to say, it seems to move people. Grandtheft’s productions have garnered heavy support from the likes of Diplo, Major Lazer, A-Trak, Jazzy Jeff, Flosstradamus, Skream, Digitalism, Partysquad, Zeds Dead, Borgore and BBC debuts from Annie Mac and Mista Jam. His remixes and manic live sets have also led to being booked to support acts from U2 to Arcade Fire to Avicii, and being hand-picked by many stars to supply the soundtrack for their events. In 2012, Grandtheft collaborated with Diplo to remix Calvin Harris and Florence Welch’s hit “Sweet Nothing.” Released on Ultra/Fly Eye, the remix became a worldwide smash in and of itself, garnering 4 million+ plays on Soundcloud and climbing to the Top 10 on the iTunes Dance Charts. This has led to more club hits with his “Tuna Melt” remix for A-Trak/Tommy Trash (Fools Gold) and a remix of Machel Montano’s anthem ‘The Fog” with Major Lazer. Grandtheft has released original records on Mad Decent, Spinnin, T&A, Top Billin and Plant. He’s also delivered big remixes to labels like Fool’s Gold, Ultra, Universal, Interscope, Atlantic and Dim Mak – including other official hit reworks for Steve Aoki, Grouplove and Drake. His Keys N Krates “Treat Me Right” remix for Dim Mak hit #1 on Beatport and many of his tunes have attained the #1 spot on Hype Machine’s blog charts. These remixes and his familiar white label dubs are heard in clubs around the world on a nightly basis.
All great music reaches into your very soul, captures the mind and touches the heart. It can tell a story, take you on an incredible journey and target many different types of emotions. Music such as this can only come from the hard work of a great artist, an artist such as George Acosta. With over 20+ years of experience as a DJ and Producer, George can certainly be considered a driving force in the dance music industry. He is one of the few original EDM artists that has managed to keep up with the evolution of dance music, reinventing himself and coming on stronger each and every time. From The Start: Born in Cuba and raised in Miami, George Acosta showed an interest in music at a very young age while watching his father play records at home and at parties. Music was definitely a staple in the Acosta household. George began his career as a local DJ in his native Miami, spinning anywhere from high school parties, to clubs on South Beach. He would spin any type of dance music, from techno to house. In the early 90’s, as his popularity on South Beach grew, and house DJ’s such as Erik Morillo and Roger Sanchez were becoming rising stars, George began gaining an interest in producing dance music. “Honestly, it was when I first heard Josh Wink that I made my decision to produce my own music,” says Acosta. A trip to Germany is where George’s creativity flourished and Planet Soul was born. Signed under Strictly Rhythm, Planet Soul gained its stardom for the well known hit, Set You Free, earning Acosta the Gold Record status. Gaining international status with the success of Planet Soul didn’t stop George from forging ahead. Once again, he returned to his roots and began DJing as the well-known George Acosta, transitioning from house to trance music. He then began his residency at the very famous Shadow Lounge on South Beach, solidifying trance not only in Miami but also in the U.S. Week after week, George mastered his craft as a trance DJ. Many of his fans say that George Acosta has an innate ability to read the crowd and know what they wanted to hear. He was also notorious for having the ability to take his audience on a wonderful, emotional roller coaster ride during their visit to the club. While at Shadow, George continued producing some of his own original work. Some of these songs were: Emotions, Taking Over Space, and The Reaper. He also released several compilations under the Ultra Records Label which included: Awake and Release AM & PM, just to name a few. Between touring around the world at popular events, such as Berlin’s Love Parade, Miami’s Ultra Music Festival and world renowned clubs such as, Space Miami, Exit, Privilege and Pacha, he continued releasing more hit compilations such as, Trance Nation America on Ministry Of Sound and The History of Trance. This is what made George Acosta a legacy in dance music.
